Dr. Godbey is a member of the American Academy of Pastoral Counselors and is
available to members for individual and family counseling by appointment.
He also is a certified Lab School instructor, and a Disciple Bible Study
teacher. He also has international travel and mission experience, and is
an adjunct member of the faculty of Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas..
His primary area of responsibility on our staff is pastoral care and visitation of
members, counseling, teaching ministry, and as a certified Stephen Ministry
Leader in our Stephen Ministry program. He also is the author of our
weekly web devotional guide, "The Living Word."
Jim's wife, Sarah serves our Church staff as the Director of Christian Education
ministries. They have two grown children, Corey and Laura, and a college-aged son, Paul.
Corey, his wife Marina, and their son Caleb are on missionary assignment with
the Society of Friends in
the city of Saltillo, Mexico. Laura and her husband, Henokh, live in
Wichita.
