Meet Rev. Lance Carrithers
  Our Lead Pastor


Rev. Lance Carrithers, a graduate of Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, has served as a pastor in the Kansas West Annual Conference since 1989.  He was appointed to serve as Senior Pastor of Dodge City First United Methodist Church in July, 2004.

 


Rev. Lance Carrithers was born in Ulysses, Kansas and grew up on a farm north of Johnson, Kansas. In 1983 he married Kristi (Borthwick), who was raised on a farm near Beeler, Kansas in Ness County.  Lance and Kristi have two daughters, Sydney and Taylor who are students at Dodge City High School.

Rev. Carrithers earned a B.A. in drama and speech communication from Bethel College, North Newton, Kansas and an Master of  Divinity from Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, Missouri.  He has special gifts and training in preaching and stewardship.  Rev. Carrithers' previous pastorates have been at Tescott, Culver, Marion and Lincolnville, all in the Salina District. Most recently he served as pastor of the Arkansas City First United Methodist Church in the Winfield District.
