We also have a very active Acolyte and Cross-Bearer program each school year for 3rd Grade
children through 9th grade youth.
We are very proud to offer excellent ministry to the young child through
Christian curriculum,
developmental child care and preschool services at First Church's
Joy! Child Development Center
and Joy! Academy.
Our Department of Christian Education has programs for children that stress
Biblical teaching, community building and age-level appropriate activities.
Children's special events are held like an annual
Fall Festival,
Easter-Egg
Hunt, Advent Program, and Summer Educational Day Trips.
We have a special children's time in our 10:55 Service, using
object lessons and stories to help the children understand the Bible and
Christian faith. We also offer a children's worship program
"First
Gifts"
during our 10:55 Worship Service which uses "Sacred Storytelling" as a
way of helping children understand the Bible lesson.
